Juhudi Africa assumes full supervision and responsibility in the administration and management of all donor and internal funded projects lead by Executive Director (as CEO), Regional Deputy Director (in charge of all Programmes) and other two middle level management directors. The directors offer the policy and strategic direction of the NGO. They have specific tasks assigned to them as follows
Lucas Muchiiri
Mr Muchiri is a graduate of life sciences with a strong bias in Community Development. An expert at community mobilization, design of community projects and resource mobilization. Over the years he has designed many community projects which have been a runaway success. Poverty eradication using a multi-pronged approach is his fort, environmental education and conservation is also his passion. A gender activist who believes that women have a central role to play in community development. He has worked with many organizations on common projects with a strong impact to the community. A believer in the role that health plays in poverty eradication. As the president of Juhudi Africa he has reached out to various organization to form consortia to address various challenges. A team player with a magic touch on any project that he engages in.
Juhudi President is also a peace crusader. In situations of war or when there is breakdown of peace and law, gender based violence with disastrous consequences especially for women and children erupts. There is upsurge of HIV/AIDS, unwanted pregnancies and others STI’s. He has participated in peace building activities across Kenya and Africa as a whole.
He believes that Africans have the capacity to pull themselves out of poverty . He continues to work tirelessly for the common good of the community. Juhudi president is a renown activist on climate change and recognizes the big role that climate change contributes to the ever increasing levels of poverty worldwide.

Business law expert skilful at creating and building on relationships and identifying and helping to establish company positioning. Excels at critical thinking and strategy planning as well as liaising with clients and key figures from different types of industries.

Wallace handles the day-to-day management of Juhudi Africa’ marketing and advertising campaigns and completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget

Dr. Roger CIZA
Dr. Roger CIZA (Burundian) is a qualified medical doctor (MD) and has a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatics obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (graduation expected for July 2019). For eight years, Dr. Ciza has worked across several issues ranging from non-communicable diseases to HIV and SRH for underprivileged. Furthermore, Dr Ciza possesses a University Diploma in specialized HIV Infection/STIs Management and a Specialized Project Management Certificate. Moreover, Dr Ciza holds a number of professional certificates in Sexual and Reproductive Health, Quality Improvement, Health Research in Emergency, etc.
Dr. Roger’s primary areas of expertise in JAP include Sexual and Reproductive Health; Advocacy, Lobby and Negotiation on Public Health issues; Capacity building and Mentorship and Implementation Science.

Dr. Desire Habonimana is a Junior Lecturer of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Research Methods, and Demography in the School of Medicine, University of Burundi with 8 years of experience in the medical field. Recently, he completed an IAVI (International AIDS Vaccine Initiative) Research Fellowship in the School of Public Health at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He is a qualified medical doctor (MD) and has a Master of Science in Epidemiology obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. In addition, Dr Habonimana possesses a University Diploma specialized in HIV Infection Management and other professional certificates in data analysis and project management and have proven expertise in data analysis package and Microsoft Office package.
Dr. Desire’s primary areas of interest in JAP include maternal, newborn, children’s, and adolescents’ health (MNCAH) and infectious diseases of poverty.

Dr. Tammary C. Esho, PhD
Dr. Esho is a clinical sexologist and family therapist, with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium (2012). She is also a Lecturer in Community and Public Health at the Technical University of Kenya in Nairobi. She lectures on a broad range of topics in community and public heath, including on sexual and reproductive health, harmful traditional practices and especially the practices that adversely affect female sexuality such as FGM/C in various communities.
Her scholarly pursuits include the study of the psychosexual consequences of female genital cutting among the Maasai ethnic group of Kenya. In her various research and training engagements, she participated in studies with women as well as men especially with regards to the perpetuation of FGM/C, and the role that men play in the Maasai community in the perpetuation of this practice. With specific interest has been the sexual experiences of men married to women who have undergone FGM/C.
